The Directors plans for members’ 2015 open meetings:.

      • Our members open talks and meetings will take place in the Kirriemuir Old Parish Church Hall at 7.30p.m.                 on the 1st Wednesday of the month. [unless otherwise stated]
  • Wednesday 4th November  The AGM followed by  Ian Gill   ~ The Changing Expectations of  Veterinary Practice in Kirriemuir.
  • The Kirriemuir Home Front   ~   World War One Exhibition Kirriemuir Heritage Trust (KHT) is mounting a series of exhibitions commemorating the Home Front during the Great War. We are pleased to be working in conjunction with the staff of the Kirriemuir Gateway to the Glens Museum who are presenting their own Centenary Exhibition which covers the military aspects of the war. The WW1 group has been very busy researching the Home Front during the war and setting up the exhibition in the Gateway to the Glens Museum.

  • The exhibition covering the year 1914/15 was a great success with many visitors from far afield.
    • Our next exhibition is now open and covers 1915/1916.

  • We thank our members who have helped us with our research and lent items of interest. Do you have family stories? Were your relatives Land Girls, Lumber Jills, working in the factories/mills, pulled out of school to work on farms or in local businesses, contributing to the war effort by whatever means?  please let us know. We would be grateful for any photos, letters, knitting patterns, recipes, artefacts  anything pertaining to the period. We would be very grateful for your help and will take great care of your items.    If you can help please contact any of Project Group;
